Preferences: DVD

Click , and select Preferences: DVD.

DVD preferences control how and when DVD playback is performed.

Description

When Inserting a DVD

Start Playback: (Default: On) RealPlayer will automatically begin playback whenever you insert a DVD into your DVD drive.

Use Display Mode: (Default: Theater) From the drop-down list, select the default View Mode to use during playback.

Content

Audio language: From the drop-down list, select the language that you prefer to listen to (if available on the DVD).

Subtitle language: From the drop-down list, select the language that you prefer for subtitles (if available on the DVD).

Enable closed captions: (Default: Off) Turns on Closed Captioning (if available).

Show default disc subtitles: (Default: Off) Turns on subtitles (if available).

Parental Controls

Enable parental controls: (Default: Off) Select to limit DVD playback within RealPlayer. You must enter a password to change the level of access or cancel this feature.

Maximum viewing level: (Default: G) Select the maximum content rating level that can be viewed when parental controls are enabled.

Set Password...: Enter a new password (first time) or change an existing password.

Note: If you forget your password, you will have to contact Technical Support to reset your password.

Advanced

Controls how RealPlayer handles color.

Select YUV (default) or RGB.

If your video appears with jagged edges, or is grainy, try choosing RGB as your color space.
