RealPlayer Cloud can allow any device (with RealPlayer Cloud installed) on your home network to access your PC Library. To control your privacy settings and turn Device Sharing on or off, open > Preferences: Library & Device Sharing.
Device Sharing helps you enjoy your videos wherever you are.
- You can start watching on your PC, pause the video, and resume it on your iPad in another room.
- You can stream any video in your PC Library to your television with RealPlayer Cloud for Roku.
- You can download any video from your PC Library to another device, wirelessly.
You can do all this and more, without using your RealPlayer Cloud space - videos stream from your PC without being uploaded.
Common video locations are included by default. You can change the folders RealPlayer Cloud shares in Preferences.
When you remove a folder from Device Sharing, you also remove it from your PC Library.
You can download videos from your PC or other devices to your device. Videos downloaded in this way will not be stored in your Cloud.
Go to cloud.real.com.
Yes. If you have RealPlayer Cloud on iPhone, iPad, or Android you can share between devices and to your Roku.
Not at this time. The PC can send content through Device Sharing, but it can't receive. To see content from your devices on your PC, upload it to your Cloud.
Roku supports streaming content from RealPlayer Cloud devices, but it does not support downloading.
By default, Device Sharing is available only to devices that are signed in to your RealPlayer Cloud account. If you want, you can change the settings to allow any RealPlayer Cloud user access. This is handy if there is more than one RealPlayer Cloud account in your household, or if you would like to share your video library with visitors to your home.
To control your privacy settings and turn Device Sharing on or off, open > Preferences: Library & Device Sharing.
