Transfer Clips to a Portable Device

Transfer from My Library

You can transfer clips directly from My Library to supported devices. Learn more.

  1. Connect your portable device to your computer.
  2. Click My Library.
  3. In My Library, select clips you wish to convert.
  4. Under Tasks in the sidebar, click the beside Copy to and select your device. (Device not listed? See below.)
  5. Click Copy to. RealPlayer Converter opens, converts, and transfers the files.

Transfer from Burn

Use this if RealPlayer does not list your device under Copy to.

Warning: RealPlayer does not support full video transfer from Burn. Only the audio from the clip will be copied.

  1. Connect your portable device to your computer.
  2. Click Burn.
  3. From the Current Burner/Device drop-down list, select the device you want to use.
  4. In the sidebar, select a Clip Category (such as Music), or double-click a category to display its content.
  5. Select the desired clips or playlists. Click Add Selected to Device to add them to the transfer queue.
  6. Click Start Transfer (if necessary) to copy the selected clips to your portable device.

Synchronization

Some devices synchronize your selections rather than asking you to start the transfer. If your device synchronizes, the transfer should start automatically when you add the clips and playlists to the queue. See Synchronize Devices for details.

Clips That Are Not Transferable

If a clip's media file is not available on a local drive or is a limited-access file that your device cannot play (such as a rights-protected file), the clip will not be transferred.

Clips labeled "Will Not Fit" will not be transferred. This indicates that the total size of the files being transferred to the portable device is larger than the device's available memory.
