Known Issues

Flash videos added to the Downloader list may show up as "untitled" when using Firefox 3 as your browser. This issue does not manifest with either Safari or Firefox 2.

An "Advanced Video Detection" option has been added to the RealPlayer Downloader preferences. Disabling this option may improve connectivity on some wireless networks.

If the Downloader is not appearing when you are viewing Flash video that you want to download, try opening RealPlayer, and launching the Downloader manually from the "Open RealPlayer Downloader" item in the Window menu. Note that Flash videos that are streamed cannot be downloaded and will not appear in the downloader list.

Safari and the Finder sometimes hand off RealMedia files (.rm, .ram) to the wrong application. If Safari downloads a RealPlayer file and sends it to another application, find the file's icon in the Finder, select the file's icon with a single click, choose Get Info from the Finder's File menu, and change the Open With setting in the file's Info window to open the file with RealPlayer. Click Change All in the Info window so that future RealPlayer files will be given to the player.

If network streaming playback stops after a short time, try manually configuring the Transport preferences to use HTTP exclusively.
