RealPlayer retrieves, stores, and displays information about the CDs you listen to or create with RealPlayer. RealPlayer automatically attempts to recognize CD info from the music information database you have built up on your computer, and from information sources on the internet.
In addition, RealPlayer stores CD info for any custom CDs you create, and displays that information whenever you play those CDs using your RealPlayer.
See Edit Clip Info.
Sometimes the CD Info search does not find an exact match for your CD. In this event, you will be asked to choose between one or more near-matches. Click the CD title that matches your CD, then click OK.
If you have previously received CD Info for a CD or have manually entered the CD Info, RealPlayer will remember the information in a database on your computer. When you later view the same CD with RealPlayer, RealPlayer will display the CD info, even if you are working offline. If you have played or recorded a CD in the past and have not requested CD Info, RealPlayer will keep track of this and offer to get the CD Info.
If you're not connected to the internet, you can still see information previously retrieved from the internet and stored on your local hard drive (for example, if you have played the CD before). While you are offline, RealPlayer stores CD Info requests for each CD that you import to your Library, and retrieves the information the next time you log on.
