Clip Categories

To help you find media clips quickly within your Library, RealPlayer sorts the clips into categories based on their media types and other properties, including the information saved in Clip Info.

Within each category, you can sort your clips by a variety of parameters (arranged as vertical columns across the Library Display area) such as Clip Name, Artist, Album, Genre Type or category: Rock, Classical, Country, Sports, Movies, News etc., My Rating, Length, and Format. 

The default clip categories within the Library include:

• All Media: Lists all clips regardless of media type.
• Music:Automatically groups clips by artist, album, genre, artist/album, and purchased music. (This information is downloaded as CD Info or input by you using the Edit Info feature.)
• Videos: Contains all clips with video content.
• Pictures: Contains all image files.
• Downloads & Recordings: Lists the internet video files you have downloaded with the RealDownloader feature.
• Playlists: Lists all of the playlists that you have created or imported and the clips included in them.

Some clips can be listed in more than one category. For example, a music clip that you added to a playlist could be listed in the Playlist category, the All Media category, and the Music category.
