New

New Web Browser: Opens a new detached RealPlayer web browser.

New Playlist: Opens Create a New Playlist dialog.

New AutoPlaylist: Opens New AutoPlaylist dialog.

Open...

Plays a RealPlayer compatible file. Type the URL (internet address) of a streamed media file (for example: .rm, .ra, or .ram) into the Open location text box, or click Browse and select a media or playlist file from a folder on a local drive.

Record

Record this Clip: Begin recording the media clip currently playing.

Set Record Start Point: Resets the record start position to the current position of the position slider. This command is available on both on-demand streams and live streams. For on-demand streams, this feature is enabled only when the current playback position precedes the current record end point. For live streams, this feature is available at any location because the current location is the end point.

Set Record End Point: Resets the end point for the recording to the current position of the position slider. This is specifically for the case where an on-demand stream is being recorded to the end of the superbuffer, but you only want a section of the whole superbuffer.

Scan Disk For Media...

Opens an import wizard that searches for media files on your local drives, then imports them as clips into the Library.

Add Files to My Library...

Explores localRefers to computer resources (such as drives or files) that are part of a computer, or available on a local area network (LAN). drives and folders, letting you choose specific media files to add to your Library.

Print

Print Current Web Page... Sends the contents of the current Web page to the printer.

Print Current Library View... Prints clip and category information for the current page in the Library. (See Print Current View for details.)

Print Jewel Case... Print front and back covers for a custom CD case.

Clip Info...

Clip Info... Displays, and makes available for editing, all Clip Info for the currently queued clip or clips.

Send Media Link
by Email

Opens a form to send an email a link for the current downloaded or streaming media clip. Whoever receives your message can use the link to play the same clip.

List of Recently Played Clips

Lists a history of your most recently played clips. Select a clip from this list to play the clip again.

To enable/disable this list or clear its contents, open  > Preferences > General > History.

Work Offline

Stops RealPlayer from contacting the internet, even when you access a feature that requires a connection. Many of the RealPlayer services require an Internet connection, but you may not always be in a position to connect.   Once you can connect to the internet, select Work Offline again to clear this feature, allowing RealPlayer to provide its full range of services for you.
