How to download videos from the web

Go to your favorite video website and play a video.
The Download This Video button appears on the upper right. Click it to begin downloading.
RealDownloader opens and takes care of the download for you. You can monitor, pause, or stop the download. You can keep watching and downloading more videos or even close the page.

A blue progress bar indicates downloading a file.

A red progress bar indicates recording of streaming content. Click the Stop button by the progress bar to end recording.

Whenever possible, RealDownloader downloads content at the same level of quality as it was viewed originally on the web. In some cases, streaming content will be converted to a slightly lower quality to allow for capturing of the recorded stream.
Downloading a video can create smoother playback because there is no buffering when you play a file from your computer.
