Convert Media Format

This is a RealPlayer Plus Premium Feature.

The Convert Media Format command is available in the Tools menu when you select one or more clips in My Library.

Convert Media Format opens a dialog that allows you to change theformatEncoding and compression formats for files. (For example: MP3, RM, WAV, AVI.) and quality level of the media files associated with yourmedia clips. You can convert audio media from any supported format (except secure formats) into MP3, RealAudio, and Wave formats.

Note: Video files can be converted into audio-only format files. The video content will not be copied.

Use Convert Media Format to:

• Reduce the amount of disk space that your audio files use.
• Change the quality level of your audio and video clips.
• Prepare audio files for transfer to a portable device.
• Save the audio portion of a video file.

The Convert Media option is not available while clips are playing or paused. The VBR (Variable Bitrate) option is available only with MP3 files. 

Caution: Convert Media is an advanced feature and should be used with care. Some Convert Media actions will result in the loss of quality or the deletion of files.
