TurboPlay

TurboPlay monitors your connection speed, providing the fastest possible streamed playback over a broadband connection. It begins playing a clip as soon as possible, rather than waiting until the minimum buffer size is met. This feature provides almost instant playback with a high-speed broadband connection.

During installation, RealPlayer sets this feature to On by default if you indicate your connection speed is at or above 256 KbpsAn abbreviation for Kilobits per second or Kilo (thousand) bits per second; used to indicate a data transfer rate..

To enable or disable TurboPlay, select Tools > Preferences... > General > Playback Settings.

To change your connection speed, select Tools  > Preferences... > Connection.
