If you have existing media files on your hard drive, even music you saved using another program, RealPlayer makes it simple for you to import those files to your Library. You can import any supported media formats as well as playlists from products other than RealPlayer.
Importing files into RealPlayer does not change the location of the files on your hard drive. RealPlayer simply creates a shortcut to the file through the Library. (See Media Clips for details.)
Note: If you choose to make a clip private in Private mode, the file on your hard drive will be renamed and moved to a new location. Learn more about Private mode
