Active Drive

RealPlayer Cloud can access all the compatible CD/DVD media disc drives installed on your computer, but only one at a time. The active drive is the one currently in use, or selected to be used, by RealPlayer Cloud. The currently active drive appears as part of the media disc drive indicator Drive Indicator located in the upper right of the CD/DVD page.

RealPlayer Cloud monitors all available drives, not just the active drive. It will detect when a media disc is inserted and will switch the active drive to the drive with the newly inserted disc. For additional information, see the options for "When Inserting a CD" in CD Preferences.

Changing the Active Drive

To change the active drive, select a drive from those displayed in the Play menu, or click Down Arrow/Drive Select next to the drive indicator Drive Indicator, then select the desired drive from the drop-down list.
