Video Controls

Use the video controls to adjust the image in the video screen without changing the image on the rest of your computer desktop.

To open the video controls, click Color Level in the lower-left corner of the Resize Frame in the video screen, or select Show Video Controls from the Play menu. The video controls will be displayed on top of the video screen. Video controls are not available for some file formats.

Video Contols

Select one of the following control icons to adjust the corresponding control slider:

Contrast

Contrast

Adjusts the contrast, altering the degree of difference between the light and dark shades in the clip.

Brightness

Brightness

Adjusts how light the picture appears overall.

Color Level

Color Level

Adjusts how brilliant the colors are in the picture.

Hue

Hue

Adjusts the overall color of the picture. (For example, you can make everything more blue.)

Sharpness

Sharpness

Adjusts the clarity of the edges in the picture.

Close video controls

Hide

Hides the video controls. All selections will remain active.

Adjust the sliders for the various controls to change the look of the video screen. If untouched, the video controls will fade out automatically after 10 seconds. Your settings are retained only for clips still in the Recent Clips list.

Note: Video controls are not available for QuickTime or Flash content.
