Clip Categories

To help you find media clips quickly within My Library, RealPlayer sorts the clips into categories based on their media types and other properties, including the information saved in Clip Info.

Within each category, you can sort your clips by a variety of parameters (arranged as vertical columns across the My Library Display area) such as Clip Name, Artist, Album, Genre, My Rating, Length, and Format.

The default clip categories within My Library include:

All Media: Lists all clips regardless of media type.
Music: Automatically groups clips by artist, album, genre and artist/album. (This information is downloaded as CD Info or input by you using the Edit Clip Info feature.)
Videos: Contains all clips with video content.
Downloads & Recordings: Lists the internet video files you have downloaded with the Web Downloading and Recording feature.
New Clips: Lists clips based on how recently they were downloaded, saved, or imported.
Playlists: Lists all of the playlists that you have created or imported and the clips included in them.
AutoPlaylists: Lists the AutoPlaylists that you have created and the clips included in them.
Search Results: Lists the results of the last search of My Library.
Purchased Music: Lists the music that you have bought and downloaded from the Music Store.

Some clips can be listed in more than one category. For example, a music clip that you added to a playlist could be listed in the Playlist category, the All Media category, and the Music category.
