Display Sizes

RealPlayer appears as a window on your desktop. The Presentation Area and all Player Controls are contained in this window. You can change how the Video Screen appears by selecting a different size from the Play menu.

Size

Description

Original size

(1x) The current clip appears at 100% of the originally authored size.

Double size

(2x) The current clip appears at twice its original size, up to the size of your monitor.

Maximum size

The Presentation Area is enlarged to its maximum size, with both the video screen and Related Info panel available.

Full Screen Mode

The video screen enlarges to fill the whole screen, without the Related Info panel. The Player Control toolbar is displayed at the bottom of the computer screen, but it will automatically hide if you do not move your cursor. Move your cursor again to make it visible.

For multiple-screen systems, the video screen will expand to fill the monitor on which the majority of the RealPlayer was displayed. If this includes the screen with the menu bar, then all other screens will be blacked out during playback.

Click , which will take the place of the Real Guide button in your RealPlayer controls, to return to a normal display with the video screen in RealPlayer.

Note: You can also manually resize the video screen with the Resize Frame (see Video Screen for details).
